Welcome to my creative corner! I’m Christen Romero, a passionate graphic designer with a diverse background in visual storytelling. My journey in design has been enriched by experiences across various industries, allowing me to adapt and thrive in different creative environments.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with a wide range of companies, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities. This exposure has honed my ability to wear many hats, from conceptualizing compelling brand identities to executing intricate design projects. My versatility ensures that I can seamlessly integrate into any team and contribute effectively to diverse creative endeavors.
At Architects Design Group, I served as Marketing & Graphics Coordinator, developing graphics for seminars, conferences, and events while supporting the firm’s RFQ and RFP submissions. I collaborated with sub-consultants to compile project information and ensure cohesive proposals. Additionally, I rebranded the firm’s seminar series, introducing a modern, sleek, and clean design standard that elevated its professional identity and improved audience engagement.
At CBA Architects, I established design standards for marketing collateral, ensuring brand consistency across all communications. I designed and launched the firm’s Intranet, led creative initiatives for internal committees, and managed social media marketing to enhance brand awareness. Additionally, I directed web design projects, updating pages and assisting in marketing campaigns to strengthen the firm’s digital presence.
I played a key role in modernizing Foley & Lardner’s visual identity by leading rebranding efforts and creating eMarketing templates. I also designed templates to streamline social media content, branding, and client presentations, helping maintain a cohesive and professional brand presence.
At Clarity Creative Agency, I crafted branding and marketing solutions that helped small businesses stand out. I worked closely with clients to bring their vision to life through custom graphics, logos, and web designs while ensuring consistency across digital and print platforms.
At Launch That, a company focused on maintaining a portfolio of digital brands and marketing campaigns in the legal, financial, and medical spaces, I contributed to the UX/UI design of weitzlux.com, including its full site rebrand. My work focused on enhancing user experience and aligning the design with the brand’s strategic goals. Unlike an agency model, Launch That builds long-term partnerships rather than serving a rotating list of clients.
I’ve designed for a variety of industries, including pet care, floristry, fashion, and beauty. From branding dog groomers and pet products to crafting identities for flower shops and salons, my diverse experience allows me to create impactful and tailored visual identities.
I am available for freelance work to help establish or refresh your brand. From social media graphics, email campaigns, and print materials to long-format documents ranging from one-pagers to 300-page reports, I bring experience across a wide range of design needs. I also create custom PowerPoint templates for impactful presentations, as well as personalized designs for weddings, birthdays, and baby showers.
My rates vary depending on the scope of each project, but on average I charge around $34 per hour. For larger branding projects, logos and brand packages typically range from $400–$1,000 based on the level of detail and deliverables.
Turnaround time depends on the project—simple graphics may take a day, while larger branding or print pieces can take weeks. As the saying goes, “You can have it fast, or you can have it good, but rarely both,” so setting clear expectations helps ensure quality results.
I am an intermediate graphic designer, its a mid-level professional who possesses a strong foundation in design principles and software proficiency from Adobe to Microsoft programs, progressed beyond entry-level work. I can manage smaller projects independently and am a key part of larger campaigns, though I consult with creative seniors.
